BeyondATC bijgewerkt naar v1.6.47.EA

De ontwikkelaars van BeyondATC, heeft de EA versie van een nieuwe update voorzien met versienummer 1.6.47. De software kent een tweetal branches, namelijk EA (voor de reguliere early access gebruikers) en een Experimental (voor de supporters). Hoewel de ontwikkelaars het een ‘minor update’ noemen is er wel degelijk een flink aantal verbeteringen doorgevoerd. De update wordt automatisch opgehaald als je de applicatie start. 🧭 Vectors and Navigation

  • Major rewrite of the vector handling engine which should significantly improve vectored approach handling.
  • STAR final altitude restrictions now correctly factored into vectoring.
  • Vector altitude assignments now avoid premature descents and reduce invalid terrain warnings.

🛫 Traffic Enhancements

  • 2/3 of traffic flights now include full realistic flight plans giving more realistic route following
  • Enroute traffic logic updated to better reflect realistic behavior, with smarter insertion and reduced radio spam.
  • Gate sizing and parking logic reworked for better model placement, less overlapping and avoidance of unsuitable gates.
  • Added 300nm traffic insertion range above FL190 to increase traffic at cruise altitudes. (An updated traffic map tool v1.1.1 that includes this radius change is available from https://www.beyondatc.net/download)
  • Introduced Emirates cargo tail number mapping and improved registration mapping for AIG models.
  • Added support for MSFS2024 built-in GA models (150+ aircraft) for broader GA coverage (enabled by default for MSFS2024).
  • New parking configuration for LGAV, ZBAD, ZBAA, RJGG and ZSPD to force terminal parking where FR24 data is missing post-landing movement data. Improved takeoff & landing distance checking for AI traffic operations.

📡 Radios and Communication

  • New option to allow in-sim Comm 1 & 2 state, volume, and transponder settings to control BeyondATC radios (disabled by default).
  • Communication state handler rewritten to prevent speech generation spinning wheel and stuck communication bugs.
  • Resolved issues with duplicate ATC frequencies and incorrect tuning during center handoffs.
  • New premium voices introduced for French, Greek, Scottish, New Zealand and South African accents.

🛬 Approaches and Departures

  • Improved approach selection for remote and RNAV-only airports.
  • ICAO descent handling improved: intermediate altitudes used when none defined in STAR.
  • Fixed early descent instruction issues when STAR is missing or flight plan has only one waypoint.

🛫 Airport Operations

  • Updated runway allocation logic, including fixes for METAR parsing in low crosswind scenarios.
  • Expanded airport ops updates (runways and split frequencies) based on user/community feedback.

🧳 Parking and Ground Ops

  • Parking logic reworked to relax aircraft size matching, prevent “gate not suitable” errors. – Improved selection between gates and ramps, particularly at high-traffic airports.

📈 Performance and Stability

  • Performance tweaks made to reduce stutters caused by traffic handling.
  • Fixes for null exceptions (including in TaxiCallbacks) that were common fatal error sources.
  • Unity crash on close should now be resolved.

🔊 Miscellaneous Improvements

  • Scroll wheel speed reduced for easier window interaction.
  • TCAS updates for A350 (iniBuilds): callsigns now properly displayed.
  • AIRAC cycle 2503, SID/STAR pronunciation data, airline callsign updated from Pilot Portal.
