MicroProse B-17G Flying Fortress MSFS2024 on final

Vele simmers wereldwijd vragen er al jaren om, ”Geef ons s.v.p een B-17 voor MSFS / MSFS2024”. En nu is het bijna zo ver, Ontwikkelaar MicroProse komt er met eentje. We hebben het over de B-17G versie, een wat later model dat vooral herkenbaar is door de zogenoemde Nose Turret.

Ze is verkrijgbaar vanaf Donderdag 9 oktober als een zogenoemde ”Early Access” release.

Wat krijgen we nu dan al, en wat later precies? Je leest er alles over

Early Access:

The B-17G will roll out in Early Access, meaning you’ll get to climb aboard before every system is finished. The first version is planned to include:

• Fully animated crew
• Basic systems and initial flight model
• First-pass animations (including turrets)
• Authentic liveries
• A prototype of the in-sim clipboard for quick access to functions

Full Release:

• High-fidelity flight model tuned with help from professionals familiar with the real aircraft
• 4K PBR textures with realistic wear and tear inside and out
• Soundscape built from recordings of Sentimental Journey, one of the last flying B-17s
• Fully functional electrical system with circuit breakers
• Maintenance model
• Crew configuration system
• Optional modern avionics (for those who want a little GPS help)
• Support for MSFS 2024’s new walk-around system
• Multiplayer-visible crew animations
