Released: Aerosoft Douglas DC-8

Vandaag is de Douglas DC-8 van Aerosoft beschikbaar gekomen. De Douglas DC-8 is ontwikkeld door het Amerikaanse Douglas Aircraft Company. De DC-8 kan zo’n 189 passagiers vervoeren over een afstand van ruim 12.000 km. In 1958 maakte zij haar eerste vlucht. De productie werd in 1972 gestaakt. In 196s doorbrak een Canadese DC-8 als eerste verkeersvliegtuig de geluidsbarrière. In Nederland was het toestel bij KLM onderdeel van de vloot tussen 1960 en 1986. Ook Martinair heeft zo’n 10 jaar de DC-8 in haar vloot gehad.

In eerste instantie is het toestel alleen beschikbaar voor Prepar3D v4. Andere versies volgen later, zonder bijbetaling. De aanschafprijs is ca. €41.
