Released: sim-wings Tenerife Sur

Soms kan het snel gaan… Zo ook met de release van Tenerife Sur (GCTS) voor Microsoft Flight Simulator. Gisteren aangekondigd op het Aerosoft forum, en nu al uitgebracht.

Vanaf nu kun je ook virtueel een bezoek brengen aan Tenerife, het grootste eiland van de Canarische eilanden en vooral bekend om de hoogste berg van Spanje ‘El Teide’ een vulkaan met een hoogte van 3.718 meter.

Aeropuerto de Tenerife Sur werd in 1978 geopend en vernoemd naar koningin Sofia (Reina Sofia). Voorheen was het vliegveld van Tenerife North (GCXO) de enige luchthaven op het eiland, maar vanwege de ongunstige ligging ten noorden van de Teide en de vliegramp met KLM/PanAm werd besloten in het zuiden een nieuw vliegveld te bouwen. In 2019 deden ruim 11 miljoen passagiers de luchthaven aan.
