Numerous reports from the users tell that disabling MULTIPLAYER from OPTIONS – DATA ended most of the stutters for them after the latest update. This isn’t a fix for all the stutters though and sure is an initial fix for the problem in the Microsoft servers at the moment.
After some serious performance drop issues after Sim Update 3, the community around the Microsoft Flight Simulator started to hunt down for all kinds of tweaks to enhance the flying experience. Performance hotfix version 1.14.6.0 did cure the major issues, but there are still stutters at some locations around the world that are to be fixed in future patches. If you find a problematic location during your flying, please report it to the developers. I’ve gathered some of the performance boost tricks here I’ve tested and think you could also try and see if it helps to gain a bit smoother performance and fewer problems at your own risk.
- Install the latest Windows 10 updates due to e.g. KB5000842 helped with the stutters.
- In Windows 10 display settings, set the scale to 100% and use native resolution.
- Disable both Game Mode and Hardware-Accelerated GPU Scheduling as instructed.
- Enable more Virtual Memory to prevent unknown crash-to-desktop issues.
- Disable GPU overclocking, software-based too, can cause crash-to-desktop issues.
- In NVIDIA Control Panel, for MSFS, set Threaded optimization to OFF.
- In NVIDIA Control Panel, for MSFS, force Vertical sync to ON. In MSFS, set Vsync to OFF.
- Disable both HyperThreading and fullscreen optimizations as instructed.
- Disable all the unneeded Toolbar icons by unticking them via the gear wheel icon.

Mooi verhaal. Er zijn er meer terug te vinden op YouTube. Vergeet niet steeds te meten door één situatie in de stellen en de frt zichtbaar te maken. Het verhaal rept niet over de monitoren. Ook belangrijk. Een vriendje had last van stutters. Toen we de instelling van het kleurenschema van de monitor wijzigde waren de stutters weg!
Bij mij heb ik constant 50 frt en toch in bepaalde situaties stutters. Dit komt door het FS programma en niet mijn computer.
Er zijn inderdaad érg veel invloedsfactoren, vrees ik. En voor de ene is deze instelling van belang, voor de andere precies de tegenovergestelde.

In een freeware configuratie tips pdf die er een paar maanden geleden uitkwam, wordt juist aangeraden om deze in te schakelen.
Ik vrees, dat veel instelling variabelen ook invloed op elkaar zullen hebben. Zet je de ene instelling aan, dan kun je de andere beter zus zetten. Zet je de ene instelling uit, dan kun je die andere beter zo instellen.
Te complex, denk ik. Gewoon uitproberen wat voor jou het beste werkt.
En als je boven frt 25 zit is de boel al (voldoende) goed ingesteld.
